Oasis Faultless On 2nd Night At Heaton Park

49438Oasis has avoided anymore technical mishaps which jinxed their first night to play an impressive setlist for their fans last night.

Heaton Park which was crammed to capacity with an estimated 70,000 turnout also included famous fans such as The Stone Roses, Mani from Primal Scream and New Order bassist Peter Hook.

The Enemy who missed the first night of the tour due to frontman Tom Clarke’s food poisoning scare returned to play a glorious set including their single “No Time For Tears”. Twisted Wheel, Free Peace and the mighty Kasabian was also on the bill.

At 8.45pm , Oasis came onto the stage to the wonderfully titled ‘Fuckin In The Bushes’ playing in the background, before launching into ‘Rock N Roll Star’, which instantly got the strong 70,000 capacity crowd roaring and jumping.

They then continued the trend with Liam churning out old classics such as ‘Roll With It’ and ‘My Big Mouth’ before Noel reintroduced another old favourite ‘Half The World Away’ which had everyone singing along.

The setlist also naturally contained tracks from their last album ‘Dig Out Your Soul’, including the newly added ‘Waiting For The Rapture’ which delighted the crowd. Also, songs such as ‘The Shock Of The Lightning’, ‘I’m Outta Time and ‘Falling Down’.

The usual choice classics were there too such as ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’, ‘Wonderwall’ and ‘Champagne Supernova’ before finally closing the night with ‘I Am The Walrus’ which sent the big wall of sound finally echoing distantly through the Manchester night along with very satisfied fans.
